To say it’s been a hard week would be a gross understatement. The tragedy in Vegas is unspeakably heartbreaking and the (predictable) backlash of politics just makes me tired. From Puerto Rico’s struggle to get back on its feet (if you want to help, see below) to the oncoming Tropical Storm Nate, Mother Nature is giving us a run for our money. So after a personally difficult week at work and feeling the struggle of humankind, I’m going to take a break from the news today, take stock, and be grateful.
Thank goodness it’s finally the weekend! Heading back to work after the honeymoon was trickier than I expected, so all I want to do today is drink coffee and read. You too? Fab. Here’s some of the top stories and post from the past week to enjoy with your first (or second or third) cup o’joe.
Cheers to the weekend! What are your big plans?
Happy Saturday, friends!
There’s really nothing better than sitting down in my pj’s with a giant mug of coffee to catch up on the world on a slow Saturday morning. Let’s get to it, shall we?
Sit back, have another cup of joe (or tea) and enjoy! Oh, and make sure to share what you’re reading this weekend! 🙂
It’s finally Saturday, and after a horribly hard work week, all I can say is THANK GOODNESS. Spending the day with M, cleaning the house and catching up on chores. I think it’ll be a night for a Netflix marathon. What do you think? Making of a Murderer, ONCE, or Grey’s Anatomy?
Speaking of catching up, here’s some stories from the week you may have missed:
Oh, and just because I can’t WAIT to make this…
Sunday is made for doughnuts, especially these!
IT’S ALMOST CHRISTMAS!
And that’s pretty much all I can think about at this point. Truth.
M and I have been dating for five years, but this is the first one we get to spend together. In our new house.
I’m ridiculously excited!
Ahem. Under control. 🙂
Here’s what I marked to read this weekend:
Oh, but the weather outside is frightful…
Hey there! How was your Thanksgiving? Ours was nice and quiet – spent it with my close family and watched entirely too much Frasier. We braved the local shopping center for Black Friday yesterday, not for any crazy sales – it was more for our favorite sport: people watching.
There’s some fun stories on the Internet this week! Did you miss these?
I hope you have a wonderful, relaxing Thanksgiving weekend!
Thanksgiving is right around the corner, and I’m hosting for the first time. M is in charge of cleaning the house, and I’ve got the cooking. It’ll be small this year (thankfully!), so hopefully I can pull it off!
I don’t know about you, but I’m so happy it’s the weekend. The past couple weeks have been intense at work, and with a new change coming, it’s going to stay that way for a while. I’m taking this weekend to read, watch the latest season of Outlander and do nothing. Join me?
I can’t deny it, guys: this week was a monster. Luckily, it’s all in one place (work), so when I come home to sit with a glass of wine and a book, it all feels better.
Here are the posts I’ve saved up to read this weekend!
Have a lovely weekend!
According to my boss, Mercury is in retrograde, and that’s why this last week was so frustrating. That’s the reason we’re using, and by golly, we’re sticking to it. I’m taking some much-needed time this weekend to just do nothing (the best kind of weekend plans in my opinion) and enjoy!
Here’s what I’ve marked to read (and do!) this weekend:
